Leonardo da Vinci vs. Michelangelo

The two greatest artists of their time faced off in the Salone di Cinquecento, the Room of the Five Hundred, in the Palazzo Vecchio (Florence’s Town Hall). The contest took place in 1505 and pitted the two extraordinary artists against one another in creating battle scenes that celebrated Florence and its people at their best.
